I see the hosting migration is due to happen in 2 weeks, and am wondering if this is possibly related. None of my machines have downloaded new HCC projects in about a week. Just today I'm seeing some of them get work from other projects, which happened one other time when the hosting drive array had to be rebuilt.
I don't see anything posted in the known issues on this. Did something else change? Thanks, |

I have noticed this shortage under Linux about 24 hours ago, and next in Windows too.
----------------------------------------I have placed a post in the CA forum in hope of catching attention of a tech but as announced earlier most techs are currently either resting before the move or already busy on its preparation, so I do not know if we will see a reaction this week end. To my knowledge this shortage of HCC WUs was not planned, but I do not know everything... Currently I am receiving FAAH and Rice WUs without trouble and I presume that HPF2 WUs are OK too but they are not part of my selection. For cbach1997, the move is not planned in 2 weeks but (theoretically) on January 8 and things should be back to normal in the week starting January 12 at the latest. The cut is expected to last less than 2 days maximum. Cheers. Jean. |

Sorry for the issue.
We have been running our buffer of work ready to send much lower than normal due to the migration and we didn't notice right away that there was a problem with some of the batches we got so we were delayed in loading in more work. Work should be available now for the members. |

Hi goedel, probably down to this server move they're on with...
----------------------------------------I believe the whole 'kit and kaboodle' will be shut down and the move started within the next few hours... You could try clicking "work on all projects" in the hope that you'll get some crunching to do whilst the WCG servers are down, and then, when all is back up and runing again (I believe in a couple of days), just concentrate on HCC again... This is basically what I'm doing - as this is also a project that I'm keen to crunch ![]() ![]() |

After being fed up with the extraordinary processing times for CEP I set my profile(s) for HCC only (about 2 weeks ago). I've been loaded up with WU's since on 3 active machines. Periodically I get server msgs stating there is no work available for HCC, but eventually I receive more WU's. Maybe I'm special ?

Periodically I get server msgs stating there is no work available for HCC, but eventually I receive more WU's. Maybe I'm special ? No, you are not. I have seen this too and I can hardly believe that cbach1997 has been seeing this message and not receiving HCC WUs constantly over two days. I have received many of them between periodical occurrences of the "no new work" message. Finally I have checked the box "send work for other projects etc..." and I am receiving something almost every time my quad is asking for some more work. As already explained the techs are loading new WUs in small batches when necessary to avoid having an excessive amount of data to move from the old site to the new one. Cheers. Jean. |
