I see that the whole layout has changed. Wasn't quite sure where I was.
---------------------------------------- You're right TC - extremely quiet. Is it because we have less and less active crunchers? Is it time for a campaign in the PCR forums? We need more people involved. What do you, and everyone else, think about it?

It's getting harder and harder to get new recruits for some reason so anything that can be done to generate some new blood is a good idea.
----------------------------------------In the past team challenges sometimes generated new interest. |

Yes Niv and LoneWolf, I would agree with you both. It would be great if a few more people could be encouraged to crunch with us.
----------------------------------------You are also correct about it being difficult to generate interest. I have tried raising awareness amongst some of my online friends in a couple of forums, but sad to say, they don't seem to be inspired to join-in. Not quite sure what the answer is. I know folk who will dedicatedly click on a pink ribbon each day, which is said to generate funds for cancer research. If only they could understand how much more they could be helping, if they crunched too. ![]() ![]() |

If only they could understand how much more they could be helping, if they crunched too. ![]() Besides trekking about in an attempt to generate interest as well as keep my own enthusiasm level healthy all I can think to do is what I've been doing for quite some time which is fix problems that arise on PC's for acquaintances and family for which I charge nothing but I do pitch crunching as a form of compensation to those who feel an obligation to me for the time I spend on their stuff. I've gotten a few recruits but nothing stellar for the amount of time I've put into it. what it works out to is the new ones I find generally only wind up compensating for previous ones that moved or were lost as a result of some other event beyond my control. I guess I'm fortunate in that I'll always have almost a dozen units running due to immediate family size and they all know that either they run WCG or they pay a shop to fix their equipment. LOL They win in the end anyway because I often upgrade their stuff for next to nothing if not free. I'll make a point of stopping by PC Review again in about a week or so to do some crunching and maybe shake things up a bit. You guys still hold my #1 spot for most points and results contributed to a team of the various places I have participated at. |
