Cure for HPV Spoof

Scientists have discovered a P64 encoding error pertaining to the Genome C4E of the Human Papillomavirus during transcription which can lead to incorrect or insufficient transcription of the virus. In theory it should be possible to exploit this error by using a hyper polymer of DNA extract databases. This discovery pertains to subtype 16 of hpv, but is also translational to subtype 18 which are the two most common cancer causing high risk types. Scientists have already demonstrated great reliability in the lab to disruption of the virus cycle and reproduction. Human trials should be underway soon as these library of drugs are already considered safe for use in humans.

Okay, so that is just a pseudo scientific bluff, but seriously I wonder what these scientists are really doing on a typical day? I question the validity of the methods to the madness, their effectiveness and career progression goals. You can read about babble all the time on science daily of new discoveries, but yet we still have no more effective treatments for some major or infections of diseases than we had 20 years ago and more.

At the current rate of Central Processor design progression and lack of progress in medical science, it's going to take some smart 13 year old computer hacker to find a cure for viruses. That would really turn the system on its head wouldn't it? I think we could reflect and look at the system with a lot of question as to what they really do other then write dissertations for their peers, journals and for career progression purposes?

President elect Obama claims, this is going to be the change we can believe in, but will it really be and where will it apply if so? He claims he will issue an executive order and get stem cell research under way, but I'll believe that when and if it happens.

Anyone have any experience in this or valid opinion on any of this?

It's an easy thing to do, since he will just be countermanding one of the many damaging executive orders signed by Bush.

I think that is a good challemge to WCG team ask this scientists if they would like to work with WCG methodology to try research in deep this discovery... stem cell subjects will take more time to be solved under ethical and politics aspects once remain as a barrier to be breaked until we Humans think different and make differences in our behavioour when ethical subjects are involved. Probably under Obama administration many changes will be done I guees once this guy don't appear have linkage with past Bush decisions... we will watch it soon. good luck

Re: Cure for HPV Spoof

I think, the problem is the enormous amount of time that is needed for making drugs safe (which - I think we all agree - is absolutely necessary). Usually, it takes about 10-15 years from a scientific breakthrough to a new drug. The reason is clinical trials take much time if we want them to be considered reasonable and safe. Plus, these trials often cost hundreds of millions of dollars.

I hope that the increasing possibilities of distributed computing will speed up things and make them cheaper. This is the main reason I am crunching here. peace
