I am now in the top 1,000 in all categories.

I made into the top 1,000 in results. I recently went over 10 million points. I am in 651th position in points but I think there must be something wrong with that since I am 917th place in cpu time and 997th place in results. I hope to go over 20,000 results before my 60th birthday in February. But other that that statistics will be rather boring to me from now on.

No, the differences are quite normal. In another thread you say that you have 4 quads running, which means that most of your points have been produced by these fast machines. In that case they are getting much more points per hour than older machines which have run since the beginning of WCG and you are competing in the runtime race with all big crunchers who have accumulated plenty of runtime in the past. As time goes you will be catching up slowly but that will take time, even with each of your machines getting 4 days of runtime per day. If you look at the top of the team lists you will see the same apparent discrepancy between "Team 2ch" the points leader and "Easynews" the runtime leader, and it will be even more visible if you look at the "daily" lists: Easynews returns almost twice more points than XtremeSystems, but it takes them almost three times more runtime to produce them.

Regarding the list by results it all depends on which projects you are crunching. In the previous years there have been projects with very short WUs and members have accumulated many results at this time. I remember one member saying that his quad was crunching a WU in less than 30 minutes and the techs had to raise the daily limit of WUs per core to make sure he got enough work! Nowadays with longer WUs it is very difficult to catch up in the results race, but with your 4 quads you have a chance if you do not select CEP exclusively! smile

Cheers. Jean.

Re: I am now in the top 1,000 in all categories.

Congrats!
I just went over 16 years run time, putting me at #919
I'm also right at 8.7 million points and 20,338 results returned, putting me at #876 and #900, respectively.
I seem to be stuck in this area, with my rankings staying generally the same with little movement either positive or negative. I guess I have hit a plateau with my current machines.
