confused Re: actual status as of today?

Hello whocrazy,

I last updated the status page on Dec. 3rd, 2008, and the homepage used to reflect that fact. Something weird happened with the web server over the holidays.

As of 12/03/2008, experiment 21 was at 25%, experiment 22 was at 48%, and experiment 23 was at 6% completion. I'll calculate the new percentages and update the status page again this week. But first we need to find out what went wrong with the server and fix it. I hope that it just needs to be re-booted or something.

By the way, I generally update the content of the FAAH status page. Dr. Alex Gillet used to maintain and update the server that runs the FAAH page, before he began a new position.

Thank you for letting us know about these errors. We'll fix the situation ASAP.

Have a very happy new year!
Dr. Alex L. Perryman

biggrin Re: actual status as of today?

Hello again everybody,

Apparently, the web server for the FAAH site crashed over the holidays, and the IT folks had to restore it by using an old back-up copy. This issue only affected the FAAH web pages--the calculations you perform on the WCG were not affected at all. Everything is fine now.

The Status page is now up-to-date, as of January 5th, 2009.

Thanks again for your help,
Dr. Alex L. Perryman

Hi Everybody,

You're all very welcome! And thank you for noticing the error when the server went down.

I hope we all have a very happy and productive new year! Let's try to set some new records in distributed computing.

Thank you much for your help,
Dr. Alex Perryman
