 Hello,I changed my WCG name too [B^S] Doug Worrall, from "Doug Worrall". Have tried too transfer the points from one too the other with No Success.  If anyone could give me some assistance, maybe a Forum Moderator, would be much appreciated.Sincerely Doug |

You can change the name of your account without creating a new one. If you do that, you keep your credit and work history.
If you create a new account, you lose all your credit, and there is no way to merge. But all is not lost! You can abandon the new account, and rename the old one and start using that again. Obviously, you need to rename the new account first, so that the name is vacant when you rename the old account. Please ask if you need more specific guidance. |

I saw many posts about it and just wonder if WCG implement it in the future. and in those many posts, its has been often said that this option will not occur, primarily due to the potential for abuse and collusion. |

I have done all this.
----------------------------------------I now have two renamed accounts with the same statistics but a new post score - zero for each. I cannot reverse the procedure, as I cannot sign in with my old names and they are not available for renaming the new memberships either. What should I do now? As far as I remember (and my memory has not been too good since I turned 90), I signed in as "cummerbund", went to my forum profile and from there to "change my signature", tried several names which were not available, then halda, which was accepted. My statistics were intact, but my post count went down to zero. I then attempted to change haldav to cummerbund but the name was not available, so I changed to cummerbun instead. This left me with four names, two of which are still unavailable. Instead of having just one membership, I now have four. Was there there something else that I should have changed at the same time?

What a pickle, as they say.
Now, I remember you ended up with two accounts. I'm not sure how many accounts you actually wanted. You still have two accounts. You have succeeded in renaming haldav to halda and cummerbund to cummerbun. This means that the original names are now vacant, and you can rename cummerbun to haldav and halda to cummerbund, if that is what you wish to do. What do you wish to do? I'm not quite sure. I think I have it. My profile accepted both names.
----------------------------------------On reading your latest response, however, I think I may have restored the originals instead of exchanging them.
