None of the previous project forum names have had "the" at the beginning, nor "forum" at the end. For consistency, "The Clean Energy Project Forum" should lose the extraneous words in its title.

No, it shouldn't.
The name of the project is "The Clean Energy Project". Projects are named by the researchers, and World Community Grid don't enforce any consistency (although they may make suggestions). http://cleanenergy.harvard.edu/ |

No, it shouldn't. Yes, it should lose the extraneous words in the title. You've argued that "The" isn't extraneous, but "Forum" should definitely go. |

True. But the naming isn't consistent. 4 forums include the "Forum" suffix (3 public forums).
Why? I don't think there is a good reason. Is it important? Not really. The techs have higher priorities right now. Will it ever be changed? Maybe. |

Either will do! It's something to do while waiting for CEP (which, if the "The" is so important, should be "TCEP") for Linux!

it should be in the Trash Can as totally trivial. He was told that it was named by the researchers, not WCG so he should then shut up. Someone has way too much free time that he/she is able to debate the use of the word 'THE'. This reminds me of a game I used to play.....Trivial Pursuit.... |
