I actually still have the whole log for that day. Here is the relevant parts for two of them where I lost credit.

I just aborted another WU that had processed for 5 hours but had 12 hours to go. It is getting similar messages and I noticed that everyone else who completed this WU got an Error with no credit.

I also now see that I have lost over 500 points credit since 12/27 on work units that completed in Error. I get a little fustrated when I do work for no credit. If this keeps up, I will have to stop accepting work units from Clean Energy for a while. Is anyone looking at why these work units are completing in error and if a bug, is anyone considering giving credit for the wasted work. - Mitch ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I don't yet have a clean energy badge. As for giving credits for wasted work, WCG team is generous with giving credits for wasted work. I have seen them doing this including full credit for invalid work for CEP when normally half credit is awarded. They deserve to be commended for doing this for a new project where bugs are being ironed out. |

Here is another task with the same problem. Restart didn't solve the issue. I canceled the task after 14hours.

Didn't get any error messages while the job was running, but it did end abruptly - was around 80% done when it suddenly completed.
----------------------------------------Looks like everyone else was having problems with it too, and eventually the scheduler stopped sending out new copies. Can anyone confirm that the risk of an inconclusive result rises with the time it takes to be computed? I think those WUs that take more than 40 hours fail more often than usual on my computer.

I have a CEP workunit (E000080_316A_000g0000|), that has been Pending Validation for about a week. Here is the message log:
<core_client_version>6.4.5</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> Calling initGraphics() INFO: No state to restore. Start from the beginning. Calling initGraphics() ####Message = NORMAL STOP called boinc_finish </stderr_txt> ]]> |

Hi leclaude!
----------------------------------------This is quite normal, particularly for this project which has very long WUs to compute. To know more about the details click on the name of the WU from your Results Status page and you will see the details of the quorum. You will see the deadline for your peer's WU, and if s/he was not responding in time you will find the dates for the replacement WU. Be patient. Jean. |

No I can't. Statistically there are more chances to find some difference in a bigger result file than in a smaller (and some of the result files for this project are proportional to the duration) if it is some random "accident", but if it is some mistake in the structure of the result files (e.g. a remaining time info which should be ignored and is not) that could happen whatever the size. Cheers. Jean. |
