Dear Friends,
I'm Luca from Italy, I have a simple question and I'm looking forward to get some help to find this issue. Since the beginning of the WCG project I've created 2 accounts, and I'm getting points and sending results from both. I would like to know if it is possible to merge the two different results and statistics on an account only. Thanks for your help ! Luca |

As answered very often and not later than 1 hour and 9 minutes before your post,
---------------------------------------- the answer is NO (technical restrictions, not just to say NO).However if you give them exactly the same email address they might get added together on general Boinc statistical sites such as BoincStats. Cheers. Jean. |

Hi Jean,
do you mean that I should provide the two accounts names and that statistics could be merged under only only ? I've more than 100 days of crunching under the other account (Luca Palazzo) and one gold medal for HPF ! If yes, can you please tell me to who I have to write this request (email address?) ? Some generic questions please... I'm a cruncher and I would like to know how different profiles (such as Veteran Cruncher or Community Advisor) can be earned.. is it a matter or crunching time or related to project medals ? The last one... I'm an IBM employee and I want to spend more time for the WCG, are there possibilities to be much more involved in this projects ? Can someone contact me to explain how I can help more in testing or developing technical expertise ? Thanks again and Happy New Year ! Luca |

I'm sorry, you can't merge your accounts. You should probably stop using the one with the lowest statistics. Jean is talking about external sites such as boincstats.com |

I looked more closely at your accounts. Evidently the Luca Palazzo account was used for the old United Devices agent, and you have abandoned it. This means that those points won't show up on boincstats.com.

This means that those points won't show up on boincstats.com. ...until WCG converts its points system to credits (sometime in the coming months). At this time a site like BoincStats will show both accounts (palace and Luca Palazzo) with all their points converted to credits (7 points = 1 Boinc credit). But if you are able to make sure they are registered in WCG with the same email address** this site will combine them under one (hopefully the most active one, but I don't know for sure). In my previous post when I have written "if you give them exactly the same email address" "them" was standing for your two accounts, not for the techs or whomever else. Once more, "Inside WCG there is really no way to merge two accounts". Sorry about it. Happy New Year and happy crunching to you too.
