Unusual Behaviour [Resolved]

Yesterday this computer, running 6.2.28, detached itself from WCG. Rather than worry about the 1 (possibly) lost WU and the 3 detached WU, I reinstalled which did not find the detached WU. Since then the buffer is not behaving as expected. I have .3 days. Currently I have 1 WU showing 6:00:07 left while .3 days is 7.2 hours. I am expecting one WU to be downloaded which it has not. If I change my local preferences to .5 days I get no job. If I change my local preferences to 2.0 days I get 1 Rice WU showing 9:47:24. Ideas?

Re: Unusual Behaviour

Detaching eliminates all traces of the WU's on a client and sends a message to the servers to reissue the tasks to someone else.

As how the detaching happened by itself, one (only one I can think of) possible is that maligned BAM, discussed in other current thread. I just saw it happen right before my eyes after hitting sync account manager on my test client, loosing a beta in progress crying

Re: Unusual Behaviour

What a bummer on the Beta and I understand abount the detach (not running BAM). Any ideas on the buffer?

Re: Unusual Behaviour

It's possible your CPU efficiency value got corrupted running CEP. Give it time, it will slowly rectify. No, project resetting does not fix this. It's a cross-project applicable value and not teaching how to hack that.

Re: Unusual Behaviour

The more I work with WCG and Boinc, I realize why we never hear from the members with many of computers. It's because they have so many that they know they can't manage each computer so they just ignore them and just let the systems run, patiently. Thanks
