Hi all, I'm using the latest version of boinc and I'm participating in 3 projects in total. while the other two (aqua,seti) update normally,
WCG does not seem to update at all (Boinc shows a straight red line, and my stats page here shows no recent activity) any help? thanks |

Perhaps you hit the "no new tasks" button?
Whatever the cause, we need to see what your BOINC client is up to. So, select World Community Grid and hit the "Update" button. Then, copy and paste the recent messages from the Messages tab - the more the better. |

the update button fixed this. not only that, the bar simply exploded to the top of the stats panel. thank you!

If it's not WCG's turn to work, it wont contact the servers... if it does not do that, it wont fetch the updated statistics info. Believe WCG has put something in the client account file that would have made your client contact the server every 3 days, but that is only if you have not suspended the project or work fetch.

i suspect that your work units you have done for WCG are still pending validation... sometimes that can take a few days for the other work units that are checked against to also come back and be verified.
