Tasks won't download...messages galore
I have two computers running WCG/BOINC. One is fine, the other has the transfer queue filled with tasks that download, fail and retry.

The message folder is full of the following...

I have reset the project but it doesn't help.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi jjr9999,
Start off with an infodump. DEscribe your network connection for the problem computer. Mention any differences from the good computer. Tell us what OS and security software. Then reboot and post the Messages log.

We need more information before we can start theorizing.

Here's more info.
The transfer tab shows 46 tasks downloading or pending download or queued for retry.
If I restart, there is a flurry of downloading that appears to complete normally, but a threshhold is reached where I get error messages about tasks failing to download. Then they just sit in the queue as reflected by the transfer tab/display.
I've deleted the tasks from the download queue, but they reappear.
My other system is a clone of this one, but the one with the problem has been dynamic in terms of usage, whereas the other is a static system with no changes.
OS is XP SP3. Security is CA Security Suite.
What is an infodump?
Network connection is slow DSL. This system is a direct connect to the DSL modem, the other is connected via a wireless card.

Clone? You may have confused the servers by presenting 2 devices with the same identity.

In BOINC Manager, open the message window, select all, particularly the top 50 lines and the last say 25 and copy/paste it in your next post so we can read whats going on.

Still bothered by that cloning comment, but if otherwise you have no IP /Host name issues on your lan can only refer you to a wiki on the host name resolution message:
