I just re-attached to WCG after absent for some time. On Boincstats when I want to attach project by default under "resources", I get "no response from project" yet my page shows WCG online. Does this take a manual response on WCG's end or is this happening because of WCG updating their stats at which time their homepage is unavailable?

Try again. We just switched who provides name resolution for our domain names. There was a glitch and our traffic was sent the default page for network solutions for about 90 minutes. This has been resolved and you should go ahead and try again.

I tried again and still receive "no response from project". I guess it will eventually synch up with WCG at some point in the near future.

Have you tried to attach directly from BoincMgr?
----------------------------------------There are several operations that BAM is not able to do for WCG. I do not remember if attaching to the project is one of them. Good luck. Jean. |

Add lines to 'hosts' file, for Vista in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc directory

I've put it some time ago in the router's table that co-acts as my local dns server. I am already attached to WCG via BOINC mgr. WCG does not show up with my stats on BOINCstats page.

Is the email address at BOINCstats, WCG and your other projects identical? That is the base to determine the common CPID.

BAM (BOINCstats) is a bit perverted. If you visit there you need to add WCG to the "attach to project" list by choosing "find account" behind WCG and hit Start at bottom. That adds it to your Project List. If it's not listed in the "attach to" list, it's already done.
----------------------------------------Ah and another piece of friction. Your password there needs to be the same as here at WCG (which I personally think is a security hazard), but at least it will allow BAM/BOINCstats to read your info here. I've got an account, but really don't use since I use BOINCmgr's "Select Computer" and BOINCview to handle the clients on the Lan. Out with the account everything still rolls up at BOINCstats though. For that you really do not need a BAM account.

Project already attached and passwords are same across the board. I've tried all day but I still get "No response from project" which tells me the problem lies with WCG. My update today included WCG credit but WCG does not show up on my BOINCSTATS page which it should like my other projects.
