At first it appeared the 2 reissued WUs I got around midnight UTC would both finish and leave me about 45 minutes shy of gold. But...
Here's yet-another trick for eking out more time on a laptop. If it's not an AMD CPU, go into CMOS setup and turn off the Intel SpeedStep feature. Doing so puts it in 'slowdown' mode all the time, meaning more CPU time. Hey... I don't make the rules; just watch for loopholes to exploit.  Anyway, as soon as those 2 WU's validate, I should have a gold β <- over there. |

Argh I need 1.5 hour extra for my Beta badge. One more Beta unit pleeeeeeease. I think I have enough in PV to make it.  Hopefully tonight's update will do it.  <---- W00T. Finally made it.
