Finished a task but the agent can not upload. At first error message said:
Either agent can not establish internet connection (I certainly could),or the server was unavailable perhaps due to maintainence. Presently the agent displays the constant message next to the main button, "Attempting to send information to the grid server". |

Hiya,
Same here. So it looks like a problem with their server (the one that feeds the clients) or we've finished all the work already!  Out of interest, does anyone know what the destination address is that the client contacts for more work units? Cheers --Ian-- |

Apparently the server is down so our Agents will occasionally try to contact it until they succeed. Early in the morning is the worst time.
 Oh well. I have plenty of other things to catch up on. Lawrence |

I just talked with one of the WCG technicians by phone and he is looking into the cause of the problem for us.
----------------------------------------Further information -- got an e-mail 5 minutes ago from the technician who said, "Not sure yet - some people are still getting through so it isn't a complete outage but we are investigating." Something is sure going on! For the first time since joining the Grid I am experiancing a no go server connection same as everyone else.
Been trying to get through for quite a few hours. IBM has a server farm for this endevor so it must be a down comm node I would guess. |
