I get the hang on waiting to connect to server.
----------------------------------------I'm running it on windows XP with the most up to date version. I have the firewall disabled and do not have a proxy. Anyone have any idea why it won't connect? I really want to get this machine up because it is one of my main assets. (a 4.03 ghz Pentium D) Cheers! Spacegy4 [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 19, 2008 1:43:16 PM] |

Spacegy4,
Check the message tab and see if you see the problem. Can you post what you see? That will help the Advisors diagnose the problem. JB |

Hi,
----------------------------------------Firewall disabling and disabling is 2 things. Some firewalls even interfere while still installed. Have you visited the related FAQ? It's still in draft so if you go there and work through http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=21796#182568 let us know there then if unresolved: Can you please re-start your client, go to the BOINC message tab or window, select all messages from the top to after you have the "waiting..." copy/paste/post them in that thread linked above so we can read the sequence. ttyl
