Is it fixed?

You know HPF project's not working in Windows clients.
Is it fixed now? Can I add HPF to my project's list?

Your Sincerely

Re: Is it fixed?

Don't know what Windows.

They work fine for most except for a few that for instance run Vista. My Quad has a problem with them, so de-selected, but on my C2D XP they run fine.

The HPF2 6.04 and 6.05 betas have not resolved the issue. The Beta forum you are recommened to follow for updates and of course the Member News / Known Issues.

cheers

Re: Is it fixed?

I am running these work units on an Intel quad core CPU under Vista Ultimate 64 bit edition. I still have HPF selected. My experience is that 1/3 of the HPF work units I receive will error out immediately upon first running with an error of:

<core_client_version>5.10.45</core_client_version>
<![CDATA[
<message>
Incorrect function. (0x1) - exit code 1 (0x1)
</message>
<stderr_txt>
ERROR:: Exit at: .\dock_structure.cc line:401

</stderr_txt>
]]>

The remaining units work to completion and have been accepted as valid. Since 2/3 of my received work units have been successful, I have kept running this project. I figure whatever work units error out will be reassigned to another computer that isn't affected by this problem and that the work I have done on the units that work is significant enough contribution to keep the project selected. They usually take 5.3 hours and generate about 105 points each on my computer.

Re: Is it fixed?

Yes, exactly that, within 2 minutes. There was a "but" for me and a few others. There's no guarantee it would finish properly if getting passed the beginning. Hours later they could still bomb with computation error. I suspect some security thing causing this, and nothing at all recorded anywhere to such effect.
