BOINC Agent is very slow
I'm running BOINC agent on my computer and it runs very slow I had it running on an old XP box and it worked great untill it died. I installed the newest version as per the message I got from the system and this does not help my problem.

My computer info:
SUSE Linux 11.0
KDE 3.5 Desktop

Athalon XP 2600+
2GB DDR dual channel memory
500GB RAID array (0)
Epox EP8RDA6+PRO motherboard
ATI 1650Pro AGP video card

It is set to run at 90% cpu speed all the time, use 13.0Gb of HDD space, run anytime and connect to the internet at any time. Any help would be greatly apprechiated.

I also forgot to mention the computer is running 24 hours a day and it has been working on the same project for 2 days now and its only done 44 miniutes of work with 14h 25m to go untill completion.

And what else is running on this computer?

What power saving features are enabled?

Something is starving BOINC. You need to identify what.

Could it be one of those rare stuck HPF2 jobs?

Good point, joneill003!

Yes, one of the first things to check is to reboot and post the Messages tab. That will give us some more information.

I just restarted my computer and this is my message window says this, it appears to be running a hpf2 job, power saving is disabled on the computer.

Also in my terminal window i get allot of errors when I start BOINC:
