I'm interested to know if the software is open source ? and if not, why do you made such a choice ?

Hello beal_m,
I'm not sure what you are trying to find out. BOINC is open source. In general, the application programs are academic research programs - not open source. Recently TSRI has released a version of AutoDock that is open source. I believe that the version of AutoDock that we are using is not open source. Lawrence |

BOINC is open source (LGPL).
Many of the science applications are either open source or freely available to the academic community. |
