At the time I posted this, the graphic in my signature says that I am at rank 8725 (I know that points are difficult/impossible to compare). While I would love to be there, my WCG rank in My Grid shows 12,755 (for points; a huge difference). Am I running the wrong graphic? I'd understand a small difference, even 100 but 4050 places is just wrong.

Many of the biggest contributors to WCG have a lot of UD credit. This doesn't show up on BOINC sites (yet), and accounts for the ranking difference.

So when the UD points get folded in, and since I have none, my ranking on WCG wont change but the Boinc ranking will move towards the WCG ranking. Thats fine. Thanks

That's right, and I am glad that you take it this way.

Hello Johnny Cool,
No official schedule yet. There are some small details that might still be under consideration - at least, I have not heard of a final decision. I expect it to be fairly soon, but my definition of 'soon' lets things be put off for half a year if more immediate problems pop up. Lawrence |
