My PC has two CPU then ,for example, in 6 hours could ran two 6 hours task ..the total run time statistics should show 12 hours , isn't it ?

Correct. And if those two CPUs are quad cores it could even show 48 hours runtime every six hours!

Mine could seem a stupid question but it happen that to my old Total run time,sometimes ,
is added only 6 hours (speaking still of my example...) ! Could be that my job execution is wrong ? |

Hello landolini,
Your BOINC client sends the run time for a work unit along with each result. If the only result returned in a day is a work unit that used 6 hours of run time, then that is all the server will show, even though your computer ran for 24 hours. The rest of the computer time is assigned to the work units that have not been returned yet. So some days the run time will only increment a small fraction of a day and on other days the server will increment 2 days of run time (or maybe more). Lawrence |

Sorry landolini if my answer made you believe that I found your question stupid. When I answered my problem was that I was not sure if you were talking of a dual core machine, or a big one with two real CPU sockets in which, usually, are plugged two quad cores, or, in the worst case, of a hyperthreaded Pentium which may look like a machine with two processors (although there is only one). So my answer was as general (or vague if you prefer) as your question.
---------------------------------------- Also I have not thought that your question was about what Lawrence answered, which is also a valid way of seeing it. Another thing to consider is that Boinc's runtime is CPU time, therefore if your machine is usually busy at 25 % (for example) on tasks of your own it will not report as Boinc runtime more than 75 % of the clock time during which it is running.
