Team Liberty Invites ....

Just plugged in here .... Second Read. 2nd Post. 2nd Response.

First question .... is this community limited only to IBMers, family members, friends and acquaintances ... or is it open and available to one and all with a computer and an internet connection?

Comments:

Re - Team Liberty Invites ....

Am I being overly pessimistic here in thinking (after having browse through just two of the communities here) that I hope that the forums and communities available here don't become mirrors of what's currently available via more public internet/online forums?

Additionally, any comments/thoughts or concerns about possible system security or vulnerabilities?

That is, do I have to worry here that people with far too much time on their hands will attempt to hack/crack and spread worms, viruses, trojans, etc via the communities availble here? If so, what makes this mode of communicating online different from forums and communities available to teh general Internet public (aside from the stated purpose of the Grid Computing Community)?

Point?

Looking for more thoughtful instead of common and mundane online threads.

There are 60.000 members here who seem to be quite happy with the way things are wink

Additionally, any comments/thoughts or concerns about possible system security or vulnerabilities?

When you are logged on you are connected to a ssl encrypted secure server

Maybe we are a bit more optomistic about the kind and quality of members we attract to these forums biggrin

Point?

Maybe you can enlighten us by posting some and get the ball rolling wink

Just joined up. First Read. First Post. First Response. Too LOUD.

Almost as loud as you my friend but you are entitled to your opinion raised eyebrow

Why is it that just about everywhere you go online these days it appears that others think that LOUD is synonymous with being Bold or creative, or thoughful, etc, etc?

Could it be that you are possibly visiting the wrong sites shhh

If it's already coloured in red there's no need for it to be UNDERLINED, is there now?

We like the way we do things here and are not about to change things for the first member to criticises us d oh
I am sure you will make lots of friends here confused , as you do not get a second chance to make a first impression smile

To conclude
We are very proud of the fact that every one here treats each other with the utmost respect and are here to enjoy the experience smile
Some members here may be loud but never rude
I hope you can find a few positive things in these Forum to compliment us on smile

Graham.

That was a helpful, tactful and polite reply - all things considered... wink

Although I think that I understand where Ithirst05 is coming from, maybe he/she was a trifle LOUD in expressing his/her first impression of something he/she has no experience of at this time.

I would guess that, in common with many others, Ithirst05 has had more than enough of the antics of certain members of some Grid.org teams. I could be wrong.
