Today is World Alzheimer's Day

The theme for World Alzheimer's Day - 21 September 2008 - is 'No time to lose!'. This year we focus on carers by emphasising and celebrating the contribution they make to society and giving them the recognition they deserve!

I have two in my family with that disease smile
My thoughts and prayers are with them and for all members of this WCG who have somebody with the same

rose good luck

Re: Today is World Alzheimer's Day

Thanks for posting and sharing JP, "No time to loose" so very true!

It's an all too scary idea that those with Diabetes have a potential outlook to catch this. The link to the pathway of (Serious) Overweight/Obesity > Diabetes > Alzheimer was made (made a post of that publication somewhere on these fora).

There's word of some good reversing medicine underway, but the attitude of a pill for every affliction is wrong.... Get a Move.... that's what all westerners should imprint in their brain.

Omega 3, 6 and 9 has been long a conscious part of my diet, mostly natural through the Italian cuisine!

There's hope.
