Hello [B_S] Luca_chatillon,
We have not checked BOINC 6.2.18 yet. When knreed can find some spare time he intends to check out BOINC 6.2. For the moment, why not try running it without graphics? That will reduce the possible causes of errors. Lawrence |

I think I've had the same problem.
A few days ago, I posted a question about the program exiting for no reason. I wondered if it had to do with BOINC, or maybe something about WUs. Then I suspected the screen saver after watching it try to start, freezing, then the program stopped running. I ran diags on my machine to see if anything was wrong, but they've shown problems. I'll see if I get the same problem with the graphics. I'm thinking that the screen saver uses the graphics...? Thanks for giving me something to check out. |

Hi TOMinAZ,
Our problems are usually caused by security programs, proxy servers or graphics. Graphics problems ae either drivers or bugs that we have not tracked down yet. It is hard to generalize, but I avoid using the BOINC screen saver. Too bad, because screen savers are a great advertisement, but restricting ourselves to multi-OS open source turns out to be a weak point in this case. Lawrence |
