I just installed the 32-bit version of BONIC client, is there a 64-bit Vista version that uses all 4 quads on my computer ?

The 32-bit version uses all 4 cores. You will be fine.

Re: 64-bit Vista

There is a neat little gadget that you can get for your vista sidebar that will show you the utilization of all 4 cores as well as your memory utilization. It is "All CPU Meter" version 1.0 from AddGadget.com and is free. ... It is interesting to watch.... Hum... I think it will run on Vista 64 but I cannot say with certainty since I only have it running on a Vista 32 at the moment. Good Luck.

Doesn't Sidebar slow the performance of the computer?

Re: 64-bit Vista

If you type on your computer, BOINC goes slower.... the gadgets sneak a few cycles per second out of the 2-3 ghz. Switch the Sidebar on, let the machine run for a week, launch Process Explorer and inspect how much time these applets took.... to me these concerns are overboard lest they steal say 1/2 an hour or more a day.... and still the idea is to crunch with the spare cycles and let it be fun and informative if you choose to.

Re: 64-bit Vista

Just to supplement my post above. I now have it on a quad with Vista Ultimate 64bit and it works as it should.

Regards All.
