Any news?

I read a while ago that it was hoped there would be some sort of announcement regarding this project at the next telethon, which aired this weekend. Was there anything new to report? I'm quite anxious to get my machines crunching on this project. Cheers!

Re: Any news?

I'm waiting too, my son has a missense point mutation in exon 14 of distrophin gene (R539Q DNA change 1616G>A). It seems to be a case unique in the world according to the medical literature.
I hope that phase 2 of the project starts as soon as possible.
Cheers.

Re: Any news?

Hello Zanth!
Thank you for offering this opportunity to clear some possible confusion.
The scientists of HCMD are based in France, so when you see references to Telethon about the start of phase 2 people think of the French Telethon which traditionally takes place at the beginning of December, December 5 and 6 this year.

We are many waiting for this project to resume, particularly in my team which has been created when launching phase 1. And we would very much like to hear that the code for the new application is ready and has been sent to WCG for review. Alas that is not the case, as far as I know, and I am beginning to be a little pessimistic. Three months are much when waiting but not so much for all tasks that have to be done between the reception of the code and the start of a new project.

Alessandra, if you read us, please give us some news, good ones if possible... Jean.

Re: Any news?

The next monthly status meeting with the Decrypthon - HCMD team in France is scheduled for next week. Hopefully we'll learn more about that status at that time. We'll provide some updates after that.

Re: Any news?

Thank you very much for the updates! I guess it was foolish of me to think only of the big Labor Day Marathon in the US; especially when I knew the project was led by a French team. :) Again, cheers all, look forward to more news!
