What time zone is your Forum in??
----------------------------------------My forum time zone is set to Eastern Time(US & Canada, Daylight Saving Time), but when I post, the time in the forum is 1 hour earlier. I'd like you to state the time that your computer reports, so that I can compare it to the time reported by the Forum. I live in SC in the Eastern Daylight Savings Time Zone. I have set my Forum Time zone to GMT - 4 hours (Atlantic Time Zone) using My Forum Profile - Change My Information. The mvnForum software does not have a Daylight Savings Time feature.

I should do that to avoid confusion.
----------------------------------------Do you change it when DST starts/ends? Pete Edit-Perhaps it would be easier if I changed to UTC. ![]() "Patience is a virtue", I can't wait to learn it! [Edit 1 times, last edit by petehardy at Sep 2, 2008 4:09:46 AM] |

WCG Runs everything UTC time aligned. It never changes, summer or winter or whatever politician decides the local time needs to be. Logged out you see UTC, Logged in you should see your own time of posting. Even in the message log of BOINC you see the profile time change of when you did it at your time.

Logged out you see UTC, Logged in you should see your own time of posting. That's it Pete! And since the forum is also not very good at remembering that I am always logged on that helped me much to decide to set my forum profile to UTC. Thank you for having moved this discussion here. Jean. |

And since the forum is also not very good at remembering that I am always logged on that helped me much to decide to set my forum profile to UTC. I'm automatically logged in and I never see my own time zone when posting, even though I have set this in my profile. Not that it bothers me much. |

Hi. My Time Zone is the frustrating (and politically motivated) GMT -04:30 (Caracas). Originally it was GMT-04:00, but it was changed in 2008. Not that this bothers me a lot, but it would be nice to have the option here in the forums.
