If I set this to run as a service will it still process data all the time or just in screen saver mode. Basically I just want this to run when my computer is locked or logged off - not when I am using it.

@chrisholland,
----------------------------------------When you run the program as a service, it runs all the time. So from startup till shutdown. No matter if you're logged on or your system is locked. I think the only way to run WCG for particular periodes of time, is to modify your profile on the website and let it run for certain hours every day or so. Note that running WCG while your working does not affect your computer's performance at all. I download lots of binaries from Usenet and therefore I often have to use CPU-stressing programs like Quickpar and WinRAR. I didn't notice any difference in performance since I'm running WCG. You will see in your taskmanager that WCG backs off immediately when another program uses the CPU. Furter, because I believe you're from The Netherlands (chrisholland), you have to modify the .vbs file when you have a Dutch version of Windows XP. If you have an English version, it won't be a problem. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by depriens at Nov 21, 2005 8:33:24 PM] |

I'm assuming you add UD.EXE to the application name
