I have searched to forum for a clarification but could not find one
As I read you (I) will receive a Badge if I dedicate to that project 14 days of work time. I am on a Multiprocessor computer so the Question is do I split the 14 days to the number of processors that do the job (for example 14 days / 4 cores = 3.5 days) or does not matter if there are 4 cores working on the project i need to complete 14 days of work? hope I mead myself understood ... if not I will try to clarify the Question. If there is an answer for this some place else please point me to it and sorry for the trouble. SkyTech |

Hello SkyTech,
A quad-core does 96 hours (4*24) of computing a day. Each core is an entire CPU. Lawrence |

Skytech,
the simple answer is yes, you contribute one 24 hr day for each core. So if it takes 10 days of time; and you set your preferences for a specific project, you get 4 days for every 24 hrs that your quad core runs (assuming you let it run 100 % of the time). So in 2 days you have 8 days equivilent and about half way through the next day you would have completed the 10 days. |
