Controlling download of WUs?

Hi, I have a laptop that will not be connected on a regular basis. It's a dual core processor so I would like to be able to download just two WUs at a time and when those are finished, upload results and stop processing without downing more WU. I don't want to delay other work if my laptop is not connected for several days and contains WUs that are not completed. I don't see any clear cut way of doing this. Am I missing something? Thanks, Randy

Re: Controlling download of WUs?

okay, how to do this for a dual core laptop:

1. Set Cache (website Device Manager, Device Profile, Custom options), or Additional Buffer (Local Prefs) to 0.0 days
2. Set Connect Every .... X days to 0.1 days
3. Download work and as soon as you have it, go to projects tab and hit the "No New Tasks" button, after selecting the WCG project line.

That's all. The work will finish and uploaded, if on-line and nothing new fetched until you reverse point 3, button action "allow new tasks".

Thanks!

I try to read and find answers before posting questions but you guys are so fast with help and answers that it's tempting to just ask first! But I'll refrain from that. :-) Thanks again.
