It looks like firefox is going pc and we are losing support for Mozilla --I think its better than ff. might as well use ie. ![]() |

Keep in mind that you must uninstall Firefox 1.0 before installing 1.0.1... apparently, it doesn't just patch over... and yes, I learned it the hard way...

This is a bug dating back to ?April? 2004. The Install leaves you with the Uninstall option for the old version in the Add/Remove Programs List in Control Panel while adding the new version. This is a minor bug that you can live with as long as you know about it. Alternatively, uninstall the old version before installing the new version (using IE or some other browser) if you are willing to lose everything in Bookmarks and Passwords. The Firefox developers have been complaining about burnout, and there are several small problems that have not been fixed in timely fashion.

Also keep in mind that you can export bookmarks that can only be read by mozilla firefox. I've done it before in the manage bookmarks window. You export it, then just import it.

It looks to me ff developers are only concerned with defeating microsoft and abandoning the Mozila Suite. It doesnt make sense when in my ignorant opinion the Suite is a superior product--E-mail and all. Hopefully someone else will work on this. Ihave a nephew studying computer science in college--seems interested in programing.
