I just had to close downm the agent and then reboot my system for a maintenance job. When your agent restarted it restarted the current job from the beginning. Used processing time was also set back to zero.
This represents a total wast of resources. Please fix it. Member: oldphart |

The agent periodically saves its state as a checkpoint so it can continue after a shutdown, power-off, or whatever. Sometimes this will cause a fraction of the work to be recomputed. We have factored that into our overall project plan. You still get credited for points on this extra time spent. It is usually just a few minutes, but depending on the difficulty of the particular protein fold your computer is working on, sometimes it could be a bit longer. In the big picture, this will average out to a very small percentage of time.

Before I shut the agent down it was showing cpu used time of approx 12hrs 30 mins and task completion of approx 20%
After rebooting it was showing cpu used time of ZERO and task completion of ZERO This suggests that while your reply may have suggested what was *supposed* to happen, it clearly is *not* happening. Will this be fixed? Member: oldphart |

Okay, I just installed WCG this morning, and it has been running the 17 hours since (41%). I was goofing around, and seem to have gotten the system to a place I wouldn't like it to be (but WCG is still running fine). However, after reading this thread, I'm afraid I will lose the last 17 hours with a reboot. Does this post reflect the norm, or is it an exception? Thanks.
