I finally finished editing the entire fireworks show I filmed on July 4 and got it uploaded to YouTube. It is broken into a Part 1 of 3, a Part 2 of 3 and a Part 3 of 3 because YouTube videos are limited to 10 minutes (they are also limited in size as well which reduces the resolution you can use on longer videos. I am pretty happy with the results I ended up with. The music in the background is Handel's "Music for the Royal Fireworks."

I am pretty happy with the results I ended up with. Looks good. :) I've never been to an actual fireworks show. We can't write WCG off as donation to charity right? It would help the bills. I remember reading about it somewhere here but I forget. |

I remember reading about it somewhere here but I forget.Yeah, tragically, we can't. Well, first off, you're talking about the US only. Every country has different tax laws (do some still decide that by who's at the business end of a gun?). In the US, there's no check or other type of receipt as there's no cash being contributed, not to mention that WCG is probably not even an official legal entity that's qualified as a 503c charity here in the US. This last part is critical even if you gave WCG millions. With charities, you can deduct mileage for driving there to do your volunteer work (you can do the same for your medical visits), all of course subject to limits but do any of us drive to our PCs? Again, it's all moot as WCG is not a 503c. Now if you talked to a real tax professional (unlike me), they'd give you an answer you should be able to rely on. Long way of, like Jonathan, saying no. |
