Re: little and stupid answer.......

Setting the BETA option is obvious, but what is not is that your client must be known to WCG are reliable and a quick result returner <= 24 hours. If your client has a multi day buffer, chances of getting the Beta, IF they are available, are greatly reduced.

Also, there are thousands of beta testers enrolled, so if 1 or 2 thousand units are send out, chances are further shrinking if your client is not there at the right time asking for this work.

Anyway, the technicians indicated that they wanted to spread the work much broader to the widest test exposure. Got 15 on 1 machine the previous beta and now 'just' 4.

ciao, e in bocca lupo

Re: little and stupid answer.......

If you really want one, watch for the beta test announcements. Most beta tests recently have started within a tight time band (about 4am-6am my time!). If your computer is very reliable and happens to be asking the server for a job around that time on one of those days, it's a good chance to get one. Miss the time window and you've got almost no chance.
