Bug in work unit distribution

I chose to participate in FAAH project only (yes, I've already checked the settings). But more than 50% work units in my queue are units for Nutritious Rice for the World project. It continues for several days.

Please do something with the bug. I fed up with deleting it from my queue.

hmmm not sure, but there are 2 places to change this:

1. My Grid > My Projects
2. My Grid > Device Manager > Device Profile.

For latter you have to chose the profile attached to your computer which usually is Default.

Oddly, I've not had a single RICE job on the multi-project devices now for almost 48 hours.

Let us know if you find both are showing the RICE option not selected and still receiving them. Goes without saying that option 2 changes have to be done on the BOINC device profiles Default, Home, Work, School (if any of them were created).

Re: Bug in work unit distribution

Thank you!

RICE was activated in My Grid > My Projects.

But it seems to me that My Grid > Device Manager > Device Profile should have higher priority for my device (I have ony one device) than My Grid > My Projects

Re: Bug in work unit distribution

Depends on which was altered last. If My Projects was changed, it overrides all previous settings what ever is set in the device level. Reason is, there are people that manage many devices and in different profile scenarios. Just changing MP proliferates the project options to all.

reference the "yes, I've already checked the settings [of the DP?]" if you saved them as last change, it's a reportable bug.

Anyway, aside the maybe bug, let us know should they appear again when FAAH work is normally available [did you tick the alternate work option for if not?]
