I just added the project - it looks like a particularly good use of our resources with much more short term consequences.
----------------------------------------Also, I will not be running WCG on my quad today since I'm stress-testing it at 3.3 ghz for 10 hours today. Much props to Blizzie for helping me set it up. Especially since he just dug his own grave! 02: Jonathan Figdor - 17,350 points 03: Blizzie - 16,330 points The battle rages on. New project announcement in case any of the MOTley crew missed it. https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/...amp;lastpage=yes#lastpost and http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...amp;lastpage=yes#lastpost You can read their project page here ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at May 12, 2008 7:11:19 PM] |

Launch of the Nutritious Rice for the World Project That made me laugh. XD Sorry. Now getting serious. I will add it. Actually they ran a script today and everyone is opted in unless they decide to opt out. I thought the title was funny too ... like world rice is not currently nutritious? Looks like the debate over GMO's and patents has already started in the thread. I'm in unless I find a solid reason to opt out. Who can say what the results from any project will be later be used for? But then I also think some in the DC community would run the "Global Nuclear Targeting Project" or "Biological Warfare Project" if it offered double points and a pretty badge. Crunch on ... ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Dataman at May 12, 2008 10:25:15 PM] |

A quick YouTube clip of my son receiving his diploma at Beloit College yesterday is here. Note: their team name is the Bucaneers and he has dressed as a pirate at all games, hence the hat.
