Message from server: No work sent

Hi, hope someone could shed some light on this. PC is crunching WCG 24/7 with usually 1 day of extra cache workunits and WUs returned next day. All of a sudden WU status are 'Running, high priority' weeks before their deadline and I no longer receive units.

Re: Message from server: No work sent

It's correct that no work is momentarily available for DDDT & FAAH (currently in rush depletion cycle to make room for a new version) This in addition to the nearly completed AC@H.

If your profile has not selected HPF2 or HCC, the effect is that no work is send at all. Is the Alternate Work option selected in the My Grid > My Projects screen?

Re: Message from server: No work sent

I'm on the Default profile which means I participate in all projects. Just uploaded a completed HPF2 wu and received another in return, it looks like I'm no longer getting any cache units.

The new HPF2 (lr683_00009_1) unit is again 'Running, high priority' even though its deadline is 10/05/2008.

Re: Message from server: No work sent

Its possibly related to the little mess-up on the projected run times for the beta, if you had any. It will adjust itself.

Is your local activity menu set to 'run always' or to 'run according work schedule'? Have you by any chance tried the local preferences. Something is making your client think that the work is not going to be completed in time.

Re: Message from server: No work sent

Over 8 hours after the last posting above and no work has been downloaded, and work requests being refused , mainly on the pretext that the previous request was too recent. 35. secs, 25, secs 10 secs etc etc etc and no work being sent.

Is this the end of the project?

Re: Message from server: No work sent

Please stop hitting the update button so much. BOINC complains with that very message if nothing needs to be reported or no amount of work needs to be downloaded.

Re: Message from server: No work sent

But I onld one task running and it had been running on its own for a wile. I have a duo core puter and work was not being downmloaded, for some hours, and the was (there is now) no reserve.

I repeat the question, is the project nearing its end?

Sekerob, of 'is making your client think that the work is not going to be completed in time.' I return between 3-5 results a day, sp why one running and no reserves and not reporting for 6 hours?

Re: Message from server: No work sent

You sent a message in the BOINC agent support thread. BOINC is not ending.

AC@H is almost ended. DDD-T and FAAH are draining temporarily. HPF2 and HCC have lots of work this week.

Yes. Those three do not have much work this week, but they are not ending yet. You should either check the box to send more work from other projects or add HCC and/or HPF2. Go back to DDD-T and FAAH ONLY after the new version starts reappearing as downloads.

More background on the queue changes is in the FAAH section.

Re: Message from server: No work sent

Hi snoekie,

Viktors posted yesterday that FAAH and DDDT were going to 'run dry' for a while so that the new AutoDock could go into production: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=19661

You can still run HPF2 and HCC during this period.

Re: Message from server: No work sent

Fixed.

Had to edit the 'Client State.xml' file
<time_stats>
<on_frac>1.000000</on_frac>
<connected_frac>-1.000000</connected_frac>
<active_frac>0.000047</active_frac>
<cpu_efficiency>0.818094</cpu_efficiency>
<last_update>1239153759.453434</last_update>
</time_stats>

Apparently Bionc was seen to be only active for 0.0047% of the time PC was on. Changed to 100% and now WU status are not 'Running, high priority', cache units have also been downloaded. So everything is back to normal.

Looks like I've missed out on the AfricanClimate@Home badge.
