We thought we would try something different for grouping teams to try for a competitive race. I checked the past two weeks production for each team, sorted them in decreasing order and started dividing into two teams to balance the total points. The results are:
----------------------------------------On the other hand the first day's results differ by nearly 200,000 points. Team Medford came online during the two week period so that explains some of the difference but nowhere near all of it. The difference has been maintained for several days now. I redid the teams based on yesterday's scores. Dividing up into teams on the fly. The order of teams in the following graphs is the fourth day's results. (Just in time for Rochester Institute of Technology to have an off day.)

It looks like time to realign the graphs. The question is should I also realign the teams?
----------------------------------------The not so casual observer will notice I used yesterday's rankings to realign the graphs and teams. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at May 29, 2008 3:59:35 AM] |

Don’t worry about the realigning the graphs. If you add MyOnlineTeam to team 1 and Team Christians to team 2, the gap looks like it would close. If not, put both on team 2. Any other team that isn’t in this race, but has raced with WCG SPORTS, can be used to fill the gap as well. This is because winning this race is not the true objective. What we are after at this point is more like a cross between an entrance exam and a dating service. Finding the teams that race the best against eachother.

I should have enough data soon to start the next round of ITCS races for early June. In the mean time:

----------------------------------------![]() I'm the captain of team Bulgaria, this kind of competitions are very interesting ![]() Although i had a strange issue with the invitation recieved by email, the invitation that i recieved was directed for "Nurses Changing the World" O.o I've informed WCG about this hehe And i'll say it one more time, the idea for this kind of competitions are very good P.S. the name "BetaLeague" reminds me of the film "American Pie: Beta House" ![]() ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 2, 2008 9:34:53 AM] |
