Problems accessing WCG on Linux PowerPC (IBM pSeries)

Greetings...

I've tried my best to find a solution using your FAQs, forums, and Google, but I'm stumped. I have BOINC installed on a couple dozen clients (mis of Windows and Linux), and they're all working fine so the problem appears limited to my new (to me) Power Intellistation. I've got RHEL 5.1 installed and working fine; networking has been fine; no proxy is in place. The BOINC client (version 5.10.17_11 from http://www.dotsch.de/boinc/BOINC%20Clients.html) will start and run benchmarks, but then crap out trying to access the reference site.

I've got BOINC installed in /opt/boinc, with a separate boinc user that owns the dir. I've tried running as the boinc user as well as root.

Here's the command I'm using:
./boinc_client -attach_project http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org <my_account_key_inserted_here>

Here are the results:

I've cleared the firewall to see if that was the problem, to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm hoping that I've just been buried in the details trying to fix it that I've missed something big and obvious that someone can point out.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Problems accessing WCG on Linux PowerPC (IBM pSeries)

Sorry, PPC isn't supported.

(Well, it is for Mac, but not for any other platform.)

Sorry. There isn't enough demand.

Didactylos,

Aside that the Linux/PPC combo is not support, is this "Scheduler request failed: unsupported protocol" not the same as the PepoS fail of yesterday, i.e. a compile without the SSL parts?

Just wondering how many bounce off and not asking why contact fails.

Yes. Kind of moot, though.

Sekerob -

Thanks for the link. My libcurl is indeed compiled with SSL, but I'm still unable to get it working. I also tried copying my account_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.xml from a working Linux x86 box as a last ditch effort, to no avail.

It's a shame....this was a decent box that was going to be dedicated to WCG processing.
