BOINC: simple or advanced? Please share your views!

BOINC Manager has two views: simple and advanced. Some people have complained that the simple view is too simple, the advanced view too advanced. Others have complained that the simple view isn't easy enough to use, or that the advanced view isn't advanced enough.

So, there is a range of opinions. Mine is that neither view has reached its full potential.

In this thread, I would like you to pick the view that you would most like to use (simple or advanced) and explain what it should be like, and how it differs from the existing BOINC Manager.

One view only, please! My theory is that one person can't have both mind-sets, so by only talking about the view you want, we won't get the two mixed up.

Fire away.

d, looks like nobody is worried too much about this, so that's good.

on related issues, the 'keep it simple' rule is good. i always tell people they won't have to do anything, it's all automatic smile "messages? what messages?" i think the people who post here know more about technology than the average home user.

of course the other aspect is credibility, which is good here: tech responses, feedback from scientists, no exaggeration of user numbers or results. just compare that to some other 'extinct' projects smile
