If you hit Save, does the screen change to confirm the save? The display should become:
----------------------------------------Device Manager Your profile has been successfully updated. If not, is javascript allowed to run in your browser?

Hello sumbangpc,
What a puzzle! There are 2 ways to set a profile. Here is one way. Select My Grid - Device Manager - Device Profiles - Create A New BOINC Device Profile for School. Then set Custom Profile. Then check 'set as default' just below it so that all your computers will use the School profile. Then set your options and hit Save. The other way is just to select My Grid - Device Manager - (selected profile). Once the web site has saved your new profile, you have to get BOINC Manager to read it. One way is to hit Update. The more drastic way is to exit BOINC Manager and reboot. Lawrence |

As a final test, whatever browser u use, if Firefox, try on IE or Opera or Safari to see it's not a browser related bug. Also would you please clean the cookie/page cache buffers when testing.
----------------------------------------If that does not change anything, or if it does, we can tell the techs where to look. thanks in advance.

sumbangpc,
Can you confirm the following: 1) You go into your profile and it says 'Standard Settings' 2) You choose Custom Settings and then change # of processors to 1 3) You click save 4) You log out 5) You log back in 6) Go to the profile and it says 'Standard Settings' again. Is this correct? If so, then can you go select 'Custom Settings' again and take a look at the values for the fields you changed? Let us know if they are set to what you set them at or if they reverted back to a prior value. In any event, can you let us know which fields you were trying to change? thanks, Kevin |

Kevin,
----------------------------------------I see at least one other issue, localisation related. If one absent-mindedly enters e.g. processor 70,0 percent with comma and save, it's not baulking, it tells it saved and when returning to the custom profile, the field is set to zero. Tried it on several fields and all the same. In some scenarios if done e.g. on Disk Space, just tested that too with 10,0 , it goes to 0.0 and next a client has job issues. cheers
