Secure Connection?

How safe/secure is running this on corporate network computers? Maybe you can send me a link to information about this on the website. I've looked and looked and can't find anything.

Re: Secure Connection?

Security is covered briefly in the Partner Presentation.

In addition, IBM do regular security audits of WCG and WCG's hosted projects.

Please ask if you have any specific concerns you want to know more about.

Re: Secure Connection?

hi,

you might want to contact WCG directly through the partner program and you will get the first hand confidential treatment.

Personally, I've made it an extra bit safer by adding only *my* projects IP addresses to the firewall table that the Agent (BOINC) is allowed to contact, meaning it cant go anywhere but e.g. the WCG server.

Re: Secure Connection?

the corporate network I used to be on got viruses all the time, and spread them around to all of their computers. We had to go around to each one individually to eliminate the viruses. So much for corporate networks.

This encrypted data is passed on a secure socket. I know of no virus attack on it at all.

We assume that you have corporate permission to do this.
