Welcome SLK, do NOT panic/step away from the Windowz.lolSome Work Units will run on their own [w/ power on] for a day to 156 hrs. I think [to KISS] you want to click on the V [WCGrid.org] ICON at the lower right of the ol' "taskbar" to get yer "tachometer" back AND if ya like to watch 'Grass Grow', then with the WCG window up, click on the 'I' button ![]() Yer on yer way to bein' a NEWBIE note to mahself- must join Team OrAgAmI Are You REALLY Computing?![]() ![]() |

Sunny --
I am not sure what you are calling your odometer. If you mean the World Community Grid Agent window which shows the Task Execution Progress as well as Member and Device information in it, you should see an icon for it over in the right side of your "System Tray" (the blue line at the bottom of the Win XP screen). The icon looks almost like three nested "V's" and is more or less blue and white in color. If this is not what you are looking for, please provide a better description of the odometer you have lost. Regards, |

Sunny --
First let me say welcome to "My Online Team" -- happy to have you join us. Be sure to click on visit our Website in my signature line below. You will be able to read about (and see in some cases) your fellow team members. Be sure to send an e-mail with information about yourself to our team captain, David Autumns, whose e-mail address is on the page.Second, I am very happy to have been able to help you, but I didn't want to miss the fact that UNiRAC had provided very much the same solution, although it might not have been so clear to someone for whom English is not their native language. He comes from the K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Stupid) school of thought -- I just tend to write an entire novel when I post to the forums. Again, a very big welcome to our team. |
