You should find a recent article on what it has cost just in bandwidth to keep Vista C.ware from falling over since introduction. The patches were good for 1gb in data transfer, each. AND, SP1 is breaking things like a certain brand of firewall and other security pieces (of course not made by MS)!

Is there ever going to be an XP SP3?
I am tired of having to download and install 100+ "critical" updates every time I install XP. I suppose if it's the same machine platform being installed to then one could create a base image and ghost it, but that would be thinking too much. |

SP3 is supposedly out this month, but certainly within the coming quarter. Think a few already run with the RC2. Alternate, there's instructions around the web how to slipstream all that stuff into new install disk.

I d/l the SP1 that was in the Microsoft update your cruncher Tuesday set since it came out this week.
----------------------------------------I have had no problems so far with Vista ultimate. One included update for the Nvidia card failed to install. It did take about an hour to download and install it, so allow some time.
