Hi halfcard,
I have XP, not Vista. I set the Energy Star power scheme, saved it and applied it. What power scheme are you using? Lawrence |

Hi halfcard,
----------------------------------------For Windows XP, I select Start - Settings - Control Panel - Display - Screen Saver. This lets me name a Power Scheme and define how long to wait before turning off the monitor. I Save the newly defined Power Scheme, then Apply it. I don't know how this compares with Vista. Lawrence Added: An alternative method is Control Panel - Power Options, but I like to keep it simple. Display is easy to remember. There's a couple of pieces like Windows Mediaplayer that can interfere with the blanking of screen or the going into energy saving mode or the screensaver kicking in. Think it too got options, but am not at that vista machine presently.
