Having been notified that the server code has been updated to the latest....what does it all mean? What is the difference?

I never follow the server side of features, only the client side, but from reading loose posts by knreed, think several today too, the ability is now in place to direct work towards sending 'lighter' work' to lighter machines'. He's also been coding to clean up the messages to that appear in the client log screen.... let me dig out if there is an actual feature list over at Berkeley.
----------------------------------------WCG is special, because it runs multiple projects, so actually quite a bit of developing is done 'in-house' and any new features are given back to the Berkeley developers to insert into their package for passing into a new release. .... okay off to finding the list.

Well the most significant change is that due to a typo on the merge everyone who had results validated since the server update until now was awarded double credit, results and cpu time.........
See the main post for more details..... |
