Re: WCG SPORTS coverage of The Bunny Race.

I guess you can call it an improvement. I changed the time scale to cover the full time of the race. The objective was to keep the date annotation from overlapping. There are five days left.

Absolutely an improvement, geopsychic. Makes the graphs a lot cleaner.

BTW, Group 7 is looking a bit sparse with 3 teams. I know there's a team from Group 8 that is anxious to jump a group just to give Star Wars a bit of a scare. Not that they'll catch them in 5 days, but the graph line could be interesting

Re: WCG SPORTS coverage of The Bunny Race.

I also put myself on a graph. Get in gear people! I shouldn't be ahead of that many TEAMS.

You may be flogging a dead horse, geopsychic.
I checked the history of 40 of the teams that are just below you in the graph last night and found some sad but interesting stats.

Of the 40 teams checked...

29 have 5 members or less (and many inactive)
of the 29, 15 have one member

The captains of 18 teams hadn't returned a result in the past 24 hrs. One hadn't returned a result in 1503 hrs

28 teams return less than 5 results a day

I have a hunch that many teams don't even know they are enrolled in the race. The captains signed 'em up and didn't bother to relay the info.

So, for many of the teams lagging behind you in stats, I'm not sure what they wanted to get out of this...or planned on contributing. I realize anyone can enter a challenge, but what happened to competitiveness.

I don't know about anyone else, but I run flat out 100% of the time, challenge or no challenge.
Even when there is a challenge on, I don't have any more cores to use and everything is already set to run all the time.
I know what you mean about some not sending results, but everyone has their own circumstances, and some are more committed than others.
I've had cancer and my Mother died of it, so I am more committed that many casual crunchers.
I send in more results than many teams also, but stats don't mean as much to me as actually finding something that may actually help someone.

Re: WCG SPORTS coverage of The Bunny Race.

Ladies and Gentlemen, F5 and you'll see that the Bunny Razors have accumulated 547.087.985 points, an awe aspiring 22.5% of the 2,435,529,313 overall WCG total. There are 4 more days left to get the highest order.... will Scottish BOINC overtake UK BOINC.... me think so. Will there be more green than red.... that we wonder as the Thursday results look like a combined Easter / Springbreak .... unless there are those that are gearing up for that Power Flush for the Grand Easter Weekend Finale.

MORE BUNNY RACE GRAPHS ...... and Bunny Race Music
Thanks for filling in for me Sek. I’ve been pretty sick. And now that I have a pile of work to do to catch up on life, you can understand the stress level. Which makes me sick of being sick, quicker and twice the problem. There was something I was working on and ah.... ah .hm...ah..

[courine struck by PTSD, has delusional episode. Thinks she is Robert Duval in Apocalypse Now, flips her mic on and yells over the noise]

Hear that? Its the sound of CPU Fans! I love the sound of CPU fans. There is no sound like it.. It reminds me of the fight back in grid.org, where every result, every point, every hour of CPU time was met with a salute.

You might think its funny, but the first thing I do everyday, as soon as my feet hit the floor, is stand and face my machines, then come to attention. My right hand rises slowly, with fingers and palm straight. My elbow bends as my right index finger touches my temple. I think for a moment of those who have fallen to our enemy. Then say "Keep up the good work and thank you for carrying on without me, during my human infirmity called sleep. As your were."

You know though, I cant quite place it. That whirring? But to me, there's nothing like waking to the sound of CPU fans in the morning. It seems to sound like a call. It sounds like?... It sounds like?..... victory.

You know soldier, someday this will all be over. Every work unit complete. In heaven's name, what will we do?

Re: WCG SPORTS coverage of The Bunny Race.

I am a bit late getting the graphs updated. I also regrouped the teams except for Groups 1 - 5.

Re: WCG SPORTS coverage of The Bunny Race.

The Bunny Race is over! The final graphs are up. I will leave them up for a couple of weeks. Good crunching all.
