Spanning the globe . . .

We have signed up for several contests (details to follow once they start Mar 1). One of these is related to the African Rainfall Project. I'm guessing none of us are actively managing our task queues in an attempt to maximize the number of ARP work units; I'm not at least. Nevertheless, I thought it would be interesting to see how we do in this one in particular.

Also, at some point I'll switch to reporting daily swings in our results relative to a rolling standard deviation rather than a simple "up/down from yesterday" report. Onward and upward . . .
