Johnny Cool, it's been a bit since you heard from me.
Now I have a confession to make  You see, we found Eric_Kaiser walking along some road in France .... He was hungry and thirsty, and his shoes had holes in their soles, so we offered him a serving of beans and bacon and the ugliest coffee any has ever had. Then we raised such a nice little tent for him, lent him a sleeping bag, and who would have thought? This smart city guy liked everything, the coffee included so we lent him some power banks and now he's with us for some 10 days or so trying the simple life of Base Camping on our trek to Kraland, France. Please don't get angry with me or with Eric_Kaiser. You know, such things happen. You need to get out of the daily rout and smell the lavender - they grow lavender where we are .... He asked me to say hello - in fact he told me to whistle it like the larks. I'm sure he'll be back, Johnny Cool - I'm not sure that it will never happen again  |

I have seen Teams decimated over the years yet never spoke about it. For those of you seeing this thread for the first time (or more), please consider joining us. little mermaid, I see you posting in many Team threads. Do you think that may be a problem in regards to 'potential Base Campers'? I have seen Teams decimated over the years yet never spoke about it. I'm not quite sure what you mean, Johnny Cool  Under no circumstances do I want me or my actions to be a problem, so if so, please specify and I'll address it. Yes, I have noticed the number of team threads going down drastically. I fear that Base Camp's mission is dwindling, too, because where are the teams we can give a boost and get to know the members of? We are this far out that we make classifieds .... perhaps we'll be back with you soon, team Andrax If you have the overabundance of posts from my fingers in mind as being a problem ... Well, sometimes I try to limit myself. Posting in other team threads is a way to get to know fellow crunchers - and because Base Camp is not a team in the traditional meaning of the word, we think we can take certain liberties  We don't recruit - we offer excitement  |

We don't recruit No problems then ... Aloha, Co-Captains (fellow Team Mates)! We now have 5 Teams on our threat list at the Free-DC website. Frre-DC has a new look and I am not sure aboit that yet. I guess it will be hopefully improved. Stats in a nose dive and I wonder if it is because of the Holidays/Vacation, etc. I guess we will find out. 14th Year Anniversary will be our 13th Year Anniversary. We invite, we lure, we splash, we bribe, we do lots of things, but we don't recruit
To clarify Base Camp's business plan: We assemble a crew - I never saw two crews with identical staffing for each trek. Some Base Campers are faithful and come each time min of meer - then there is the fringe faction the surprise factor This is one reason why this mermaid likes to know where potential Base Campers hang out, Johnny Cool - they are a mobile bunch Our 'team' doesn't have any members apart from a dummy captain. It has no points either. Our points go to other teams - yours among them - in fact a lot of spying is needed to run this operation, I tell you  |

Stats in a nose dive and I wonder if it is because of the Holidays/Vacation, etc. I guess we will find out. T-storms rolled through last night so I had to shut everything down for several hours. And then this morning I had *huge* files to process for work (I need to get paid from time to time) so I had to dial down the WCG jobs and dial up the work related jobs all day today. Probably more of the same work-wise tomorrow, so will be making lighter offerings to the WCG gods through tomorrow . . . . |
