Was about two weeks ago for us over here in the north of the UK, currently have snow down now, nothing serious but it kept me at home one day last week, had to sit at home and play Lord of the Rings Online - such a shame

OUCH!! Sorry to hear it Paul. Can't they do something to retract the blades beforehand? Or was there more to it? Sounds almost as bad as aircraft. I remember someone reporting to a mate of mine about a noise in one engine of a Beachcraft Baron.. His first question was "Is that an expensive noise?" With aircraft, it always is, it seems!
